ReUseIt 2-Week Clothing Drive to Benefit Antelope Band Booster Association

Date: February 16, 2015

Event Description Antelope Band Booster Association, in partnership with ReUseIt, is making it easy to de-clutter homes while making a difference locally by hosting a 2-week Clothing Drive from February 16 through March 1, 2015. The Clothing Drive will take place at the Citrus Heights ReUseIt Drive-Thru Donation Station located at 7770 Auburn Blvd. in Citrus Heights, located near Auburn and Antelope intersection. A ReUseIt Mobile Drop Box will also be placed at Antelope High School located at 7801 Titan Drive in Antelope.

All donations dropped off at the Citrus Heights Donation Station and the ReUseIt Mobile Drop Box during the 2-week period directly benefits the Antelope Band Booster Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area. The Mobile Clothing Drop Box will be placed on the school campus and items can be placed in the mobile drop box 24/7 during the donation drive. Tax receipts will be available from Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area at the ReUseIt Donation Station and or you can contact antelopebandboosters@gmail.com to obtain a receipt. This unique fundraiser does not cost any money and it promotes responsible recycling, helps our landfills and the environment. It is a great way to give back to the local community while raising money for the Antelope High School Marching Band and Color Guard.

ReUseIt Donation Station will accept the following donated items: usable clothing, shoes, jewelry, belts, purses, backpacks, bedding and linens, housewares, hardware, toys, sporting goods, small working appliances and some furniture.

ReUseIt Mobile Drop Box will accept the following donated items: usable clothing (all sizes), shoes, jewelry, belts, purses, bedding and linens, backpacks, toys, DVD’s, and other small non-breakable items. All items must fit inside the Drop Box.

The Antelope Band Booster Association (ABBA) are the parents behind the scenes, the invisible force that transports the Antelope Band children to competitions, to practices, to fundraising events. They are the volunteer force moving equipment across fields, coordinating food and drink, providing labor and support for fundraising events. They are parents, with lives and jobs and responsibilities beyond supporting the Antelope Band. They squeeze more hours into every day to make sure their Band has the support they need, showing them by example how helping others enriches life and returns more than given. Money raised during the Clothing Drive benefits participation of Antelope High School Marching Band and Color Guard in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC.

This unique recycling fundraiser event is sponsored by ReUseIt, a registered, commercial fundraiser in the state of CA and a local business that provides support & service to nonprofit organizations in our local communities. The ReUseIt team has over 40 years of experience in the household recycling industry, and is dedicated to making a difference locally. ReUseIt offers local nonprofit organizations the opportunity to raise important funds for their cause without having to spend a dime. All donations are tax deductible.
